Bagels made of cottage cheese dough with apples
Simple but very tasty bagels. The curd dough – flavorful, unusually soft and tender. For the filling you can use not only apples, but any berries or jam.
Constituents:
for the dough:
- fat-free cottage cheese – 250 gr.
- sugar – 100 gr.
- vegetable oil – 100 gr.
- egg – 1 pc.
- leavening agent – 1 sachet (15 gr.)
- flour – 350 gr.
Filling:
- apples - 4-5 pieces .
- sugar - 4-5 tbsp.
Cooking:
For the filling, peel the apples from the seed pods and cut into small cubes. Sprinkle with sugar and set aside to let them juice.
Prepare.
In the meantime, prepare the batter. For this, add sugar, egg, oil, baking powder to the curd and mix well. Gradually add the sifted flour and knead a soft, elastic dough until it is no longer sticky. After that roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in foil and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Place the apple filling on the wide part of each segment.
Grease a baking tray with oil and place the bagels on it about 5 cm apart. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius until browned – about 30 minutes.
Then divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll them into rolls.
On a flour-dusted table roll one of the lumps into a round cake, divide it diagonally into 8 segments.
Drain the juice from the apple filling.
Place the apple filling on the wide part of each segment and twist the bagels, wrapping the filling inside.
