Quick cheese scones
A very quick recipe for cheese dough flatbreads with cheese filling. Great as a bread substitute and also good for picnics, on the go, etc. Very soft dough and a nice cheesy filling. These flatbreads are very tasty when hot.
Constituents:
Dough:
- kefir - 1 tbsp.
- salt - 0.5 tsp.
- sugar - 0,5 tsp.
- baking soda - 0.5 tsp.
- grated hard cheese - 1 tbsp.
- flour - 2 tbsp.
stuffing:
- "suluguni" cheese - 1 plait
- vegetable oil for frying
Cooking:
Separate the "suluguni" cheese into thin strands.
Divide the cheese into thin strands.
Prepare the dough. For this, mix kefir with salt, sugar and baking soda. Then add grated cheese and flour and knead the dough.
It should turn out very soft.
Then divide the dough into 5 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and roll into a thin flatbread. Put the "suluguni" filling in the middle of the flatbread and mold the flatbread by wrapping all the corners into the center of the flatbread.
And then make a flatbread by rolling all the corners into the center of the flatbread.
Then turn the flatbread "seam" side down and roll gently with a rolling pin to evenly distribute the filling.
Fry the finished tortillas in a pan greased with a little vegetable oil on both sides until browned.
Fry the tortillas in a frying pan greased with a little vegetable oil.
Serve hot with soups, broths or simply in place of bread.
Bon appetite!
