This pie is very easy and quick to prepare, as it uses ready-made puff pastry. The filling in the pie is juicy and flavorful, the dough is tender and soft. The pie is very tasty both hot and cold.
Constituents:
- ready puff pastry – 500 gr.
- minced meat (pork + beef) – 500 gr.
- bryndza – 250 gr.
- eggs – 3 pcs.
- onions – 2 pcs.
- vegetable oil – 4 tbsp.
- green onion feathers – 6-7 pcs.
- sprigs of dill and parsley – 3-4 pieces each .
- salt, pepper - to taste
Preparation of Greek meat pie:
Defrost the ready puff pastry.
Heat 2 tbsp. of sunflower oil in a skillet and fry the mince, breaking up the lumps, for 10 minutes.
Place the cooked mince in a plate and add another 1 tbsp of oil to the skillet and fry the finely chopped onion for 6 minutes.
Chop the cheese finely, chop the herbs and mix with the mince, fried onions and 2 raw eggs. Add salt and pepper to taste (remember that cheese is quite salty).
Grease a baking tray with the remaining oil and cover with parchment.
Roll the dough into two equal layers.
Place one layer on the baking tray, spread the meat filling on top and cover with the second layer. Gently seal the edges.
If desired, decorate the top with dough shapes.
Brush the pie with lightly beaten egg and pierce with a fork in several places.
Bake the pie for 30-40 minutes in an oven preheated to 190 degrees.
Enjoy!"
