Fruit salad
Fruit salad is a quick and easy dessert made from a mixture of various fresh fruits cut into small pieces. The traditional recipe includes apple, pear, orange, dessert banana, sometimes seedless grapes, pineapple and tangerine are added. However, it is better to prepare the salad from seasonal fruits, when they are the most delicious and fresh, so depending on the season, the composition of the salad changes. In the winter version you can use an apple, mandarins or oranges, bananas, kiwi, and in the summer version - pears, strawberries, grapes, etc. Salad traditionally has no dressing, but you can use yogurt or whipped cream.
Constituents (for 2-3 servings):
- orange - 1 pc.
- banana - 1 pc.
- kiwi - 2 pcs.
- apple - 1-2 pcs.
Preparation of fruit salad:
Clean the fruit. Peel the orange slices and cut into slices. Also cut the remaining fruit into pieces, mix and place in cremains.
Serve the fruit salad chilled.
Fruit salad can be sprinkled with regular or brown sugar or honey can be added. Raisins, ground almonds or hazelnuts may also be added.
Sometimes lemon juice, a small amount of rum, brandy or liqueur are added to fruit salads.
Fruit salad has a limited shelf life, even in the refrigerator, so prepare the salad just before serving.
