- flour - 350 g + for rolling out
- sugar - 150 gr.
- cream butter - 110 gr.
- orange - 1 piece
- egg - 1 pc.
- leavening agent - 0,5 tsp.
- salt - 0,5 tsp.
for decoration:
- jams or confitures of different colors
Preparing orange jam cookies:
Remove the zest from the orange and squeeze out the juice.
Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl and mix together.
Separately, use a mixer to beat the room temperature butter with the sugar until lightened.
Beat the butter with the sugar.
Pour in the orange juice, add the egg and orange zest and mix.
Partially pour in the dry ingredients and knead the dough. (You may need more or less flour, depending on the size of the orange and the amount of juice.)
Partially add the dry ingredients and knead the dough.
Gather the dough into a ball, wrap in clingfilm and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Dust the table with flour and roll out the dough into a 0,3-0,5 cm thick layer. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters, and make a hole in the middle of half of the cookies.
Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 7-10 minutes, taking care not to let the cookies brown.
Cool the finished cookies, smear each uncut cookie with jam, top with a cookie with the middle cut out, and wait for the cookies to «stick together.
Store the cookies in an airtight box.
Enjoy!"
