Chocolate-ginger cake by Yulia Vysotskaya
This is a very delicious winter and warm cake, or rather even a pie. You may wonder, why warm? Because the ginger gives the cake an inexpressible warmth, which, combined with a delicate moist chocolate sponge, gives a feeling of home, comfort, crackling fireplace.... And let there be frost and snow outside the window, this cake will be even more delicious after a winter walk.
Compound:
- butter (softened) - 510 gr.
- bitter dark chocolate - 500 gr.
- powdered sugar - 400 gr.
- eggs - 10 pcs.
- fresh grated ginger root - 100 gr.
- corn flour - 70 gr.
- cocoa powder - 2-3 tbsp.
Preparation of chocolate-ginger cake:
Melt the chocolate and 500 gm of butter in a water bath.

To the melted chocolate, add the grated ginger and stir.
Add to the melted chocolate.
Pour in the flour and cocoa powder and mix thoroughly again.
Separately, in a bowl, whisk the eggs with the powdered sugar into a creamy light mass (whisk for about 5-7 minutes).
Combine the chocolate mixture with the egg mixture and gently knead.
Grease a large removable mold with the remaining butter and pour the batter into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
