Tarte Tatin with apples by Oleg Skripka
Tarte Tatin is a French apple tart «inside out» in which apples are caramelized and then baked under a thin layer of pastry. The perfect pie for those who like little pastry and lots of filling. The pie is quick and easy to prepare. Taten on this recipe was prepared by famous Ukrainian singer Oleg Skrypka on the air of cooking show "MasterChef".

Compound (for a mold with a diameter of 20-23 cm):
Dough:
- flour - 150 gr.
- butter - 100 gr.
- sugar - 50 gr.
- egg yolk - 1 pc.
stuffing:
- sugar - 100g
- butter - 50 gr.
- apples (sour varieties) - 3 pcs.
- cinnamon - pinch
- honey - as desired
Cooking:
Prepare the sand dough. For this, mix the flour, sugar and butter in a food processor until flour crumbs form. Add the egg yolk and knead well.
Add the egg yolk and knead well.
The dough will turn out pretty dense.
Set the dough aside and prepare the filling.
Peel the apples from their skins and seeds, and cut into small slices.

In a skillet, melt butter, add apples, dust with sugar and cinnamon, add honey if desired, and fry until soft.
Meanwhile, roll out the shortbread dough into a layer about 25-28 cm in diameter. Cut out a circle from the dough 1 cm larger than the diameter of the mold. You can use the scraps of dough to make shortbread cookies.
Place the apple filling in the baking dish and cover with the cut out circle of dough. Press the dough lightly against the filling.
Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius.
Take out the finished pie and immediately invert onto a platter. Be very careful - the hot caramel can burn you!"
When serving, you can decorate with whipped cream.
