Curd casserole with oatmeal and apples
Another variation of cottage cheese casserole. It is made with pre-soaked oat flakes and grated apple, so the casserole is more hearty and juicy. Thanks to Jana for the idea for this experiment.
Insert ingredients:
- Oatmeal flakes - 1 tbsp.
- sour cream (kefir) - 1 tbsp.
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- sugar - 5 tbsp.
- cottage cheese - 300 gr.
- apple - 1 large
Cooking cottage cheese casserole with oatmeal and apple:
Separate the eggs into whites and yolks.
Mix the yolks with the oat flakes and sugar.
Add the sour cream and mix. Add enough sour cream so that the cereal is completely covered.
Add the sour cream and mix.
Leave the cereal for 10 minutes to soak.
Meanwhile, grate the apple into a coarse grater. If you want, peel the apple from the peel, but personally it does not affect the flavor.
All the apple is peeled.
Whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks.
Mix cottage cheese, apples, soaked cereal, and whipped whites into a smooth mixture.
Grease a baking mold with butter and spread the cottage cheese mixture in it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40-60 minutes. The casserole should not brown too much.
Take the finished casserole out and cool for 15-20 minutes, then slice. It can be served with sour cream.
Enjoy!
