Curd casserole with apples
One of the most delicious and tender casseroles, which, moreover, is prepared in an elementary way. The apples add juiciness and the absence of flour makes the casserole tender and like a cottage cheese soufflé. A perfect healthy breakfast for children and adults alike.
Insert ingredients:
- apples – 400-450 gr.
- sour cream – 125 ml
- curd – 1 kg
- egg – 2 pcs.
- zest of half a lemon
- semolina – 6 tbsp.
- sugar – 0,5 tbsp.
- salt – a pinch
- leavening agent – 1 tsp.
- vanilla sugar – 1 tsp.
- cream butter - 2 tbsp.
- cinnamon - to taste .
Cooking cottage cheese casserole with apples:
Mix the cottage cheese with sugar and yolks.
Whisk the egg whites separately and, mixing gently from the bottom up, add to the cottage cheese mixture.
Place the semolina, vanilla sugar, leavening agent, zest and salt, mix and set aside for 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, remove the core from the apples and chop into small cubes or slices.
Allow the apples to drain.
In a skillet, melt butter and over low heat, stew the apples with the cinnamon for 4-7 minutes until slightly softer.
Add the cooked apples to the cottage cheese mixture and mix gently.
Place the curd mixture in an oiled fireproof mold and flatten the surface.
Pour the curd mixture into a greased fireproof mold and smooth the surface.
Grease the casserole with sour cream on top.
Bake the casserole for 40-45 minutes in a preheated 190 degree oven.
Cool the finished casserole slightly and cut.
