Tomatoes, canned in halves

A delicious recipe for making tomatoes for winter. Besides, it is a great appetizer.

tomatoes canned in halves

Constituents:

  • tomatoes
  • onions
  • ground black pepper
  • bay leaf
  • parsley
  • garlic

marinade:

  • water - 1 liter
  • sugar - 100 grams
  • vinegar - 100 gr.
  • salt - 1 tbsp.

Preparation of tomatoes canned in halves:

For canning I recommend to take tomatoes of hard varieties, which better retain the shape.
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into halves. Peel onions and cut into half rings, cut garlic into plates.
At the bottom of 1-1,5 liter jars put a stalk of parsley, 2-3 sliced garlic cloves. Place tomatoes in the jars with slits downwards. Overlay each layer of tomatoes with a layer of onions and sprinkle with ground pepper.
Put a bay leaf and a stalk of parsley on top of the jars filled with tomatoes.
For the marinade, bring all its components to a boil and pour the marinade over the tomatoes in the jars.
Sterilize the jars for 10 minutes and screw on the lids. Turn the jars upside down and cover. When the jars cool down, transfer them for storage in a dark cool place.
Bon appetit!

This salad came in handy during zucchini season when we needed to utilize them immediately. We recently opened the first jar and it was immediately empty. It was very tasty and savory, so don't miss this appetizer in the summer season.

Pickled plums

Do not cook plums with this recipe! It's a real drug! But if you do decide to make them, the recipe is below, but don't say I didn't warn you! Better yet, make a double batch at once.

Granola

You can change the composition of granola to suit you, I've added the goodies I love and the goodies I want to use but don't eat pure, like flax and pumpkin seeds. I use it very simply: pour it in yogurt or ryazhenka – and breakfast is ready! But you can also add it to cottage cheese, or sprinkle it on top of a pie, or even make a salad.

dried bell peppers

This is a terrific appetizer, can be used for bruschetta or added to unsweetened baked goods (bread, pizza, rolls), or can be munched just from the jar.

An awesome appetizer.
