Yogurt and strawberry jelly
Fresh strawberries are in season and this is an indispensable dessert. It's easy in every sense - it takes 5 minutes to make, it's absolutely "weightless" it tastes great for the figure-conscious gourmet and for little kids who don't want to eat plain yogurt. When whipped, the jelly is saturated with air bubbles and becomes porous and airy. I don't like very sweet cakes and desserts, so for me the flavor was perfect, but if you like it sweeter, increase the amount of sugar a bit. Recipe from the book "Good Cooking".
Constituents (for 4 servings):
- strawberries - 120g .
- yogurt - 400 ml
- sugar - 50 gr.
- gelatin powder - 10 gr.
- water - 50 gr.
Preparing yogurt and strawberry jelly:
In the preparation of jelly I use homemade yogurt, which I prepare in a yogurt maker. If you will use store yogurt, take without additives, natural.
Peel strawberries from their tails and rub them through a sieve or chop them with a blender.
Add the sugar and yogurt to the strawberry puree and whisk well.
Pour hot water over the gelatin and, stirring constantly, dissolve it completely.
Pour the gelatin into the fruit yogurt and whisk well again.
Pour the jello into glass cremains or cups and place in the refrigerator to set - this will take about 1 hour.
I've experimented and added sliced strawberries to already whipped yogurt with gelatin - it also turns out delicious and looks interesting.
Have a good appetite!"
