Pea soup with smoked meats
A very tasty soup. A delightful first course with a minimum of effort &ndash. The smoked meat gives a flavor that will captivate you and your guests.
Constituents:
- peas – 1 tbsp .
- onion – 1 pc.
- potatoes – 4 large tubers
- carrots – 1 pcs.
- Smoked ribs or other smoked meat – 350 gr.
Cooking:
Wash the peas and soak them in water for a few hours, you can leave them overnight.
After that, pour the peas with about 3 liters of water and put on the fire. Cook until the peas soften, about 50 minutes.
Peel the onions and chop them finely. Peel carrots and grate or cut into small cubes. Put the onions and carrots in a pot. After that add potatoes peeled and cut into small pieces.
Cut the smoked meat into pieces and send it to the pot. Salt, pepper and put 2 bay leaves in the soup.
Cook until potatoes are ready and peas are soft.
Before turning off add finely chopped herbs to the soup. Serve hot.
