Smoked chicken salad with avocado
A simple but delicious and festive salad with a savory and unusual dressing. It's simple and quick - just what you need when preparing for a holiday. The recipe with my changes from the magazine "Gastronom".
Composition:
- Smoked chicken (you can take boiled or baked beef) – 400 gr.
- medium sized avocado – 1 pc.
- medium-sized pickles – 2 pcs.
- mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp.
- mustard – 1 tsp.
- juice of half a lemon
- ready horseradish – 1 tsp.
- small chili pepper – 1 piece .
- small bunch of green onions
- salt
Preparation of smoked chicken salad with avocado:
Cut the meat into small pieces or pull it apart into fibers with your hands.
Cut cucumbers into small cubes (if they have tough skins, cut them off beforehand).
Cut a ripe, slightly soft avocado in half, remove the pit, and peel and dice the flesh.
Finely chop the green onion.
For the dressing, chop the chili (with or without seeds), mix with mayonnaise, horseradish and mustard.
This salad can be served portioned or mixed. In the first case, lay everything out in layers, sprinkling each layer with dressing, and in the second case, mix the bird with the dressing, add green onions, cucumbers and avocado in sequence. Once done, stir gently to prevent the avocados from turning to mush. If necessary, salt and put in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
