Salad "Herring under a fur coat"
With the onset of cold weather, the body confidently demands more hearty and fatty food, and here comes the stardom of salads such as «shuba». I already have one recipe for «herring under a fur coat; on my blog, but this recipe is slightly different: it features eggs and coriander. I was told about the coriander in this salad by a former colleague, and more and more often I cook with this recipe, in my opinion, coriander fits organically into the overall flavor of the salad. I hope you like it too.
Composition:
- herring fillets – 1 pc.
- potatoes – 1 pc.
- onion – half a medium sized onion
- egg – 1 pcs.
- carrots – 1 pc.
- beet – 1 piece .
- mayonnaise
- coriander
- salt, pepper
Preparation of salad «Herring under fur coat»:
Beets, carrots, potatoes and eggs boil until cooked, cool and peel.
Take the herring apart, remove the bones and skin, and chop finely.
Cut the herring.
Chop the onion finely, pour boiling water over it and leave for 5 minutes, then drain.
Drain.
Assemble the salad either in a deep salad bowl or in a serving ring.
Place the finely chopped herring in the bottom. Then top with a layer of onion, sprinkle with pepper and coriander and drizzle with mayonnaise. Then put a layer of grated egg, smear with mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Then, smearing each layer with mayonnaise and sprinkling with salt, pepper and coriander, lay a layer of grated potatoes, carrots and finish with a layer of beet.
You can garnish the top with a sprig of herbs if you wish.
Let the salad sit in the fridge for a few hours to soak, then serve.
Serve.
