Salad "Herring under the ham"
Traditional but everyone's favorite salad of herring and boiled vegetables. Simple and delicious.
Composition:
- 1 herring fillet
- onion
- potatoes - 2-3 pcs.
- carrots - 2-3 pcs.
- beetroot - 1 piece
- mayonnaise - to taste
Cooking method "Herring under fur coat":
Potatoes, carrots and beets are thoroughly washed and boiled in mounds until tender, then cooled and peeled.
Clean the herring from the skin and divide it into 2 fillets, taking out all the bones. Cut the fish into small pieces. Chop the onion finely. Grate vegetables on a fine grater.
Lay the salad in layers in one large plate or several portions, smearing each layer with mayonnaise.
The first layer - herring fillet
The second layer - onion
Third layer - potatoes.
Fourth layer - carrots.
Fifth layer - beets.
Put the salad in the refrigerator for a few hours to soak.
Decorate the top as desired.
