I came up with this appetizer a long time ago when I was a kid, when I had to make sandwiches for guests, and there was nothing at home. So I mixed cottage cheese with garlic and dill, dripped a little sour cream, added salt, and voila. I put this cottage cheese spread on bread, put a piece of smoked sausage on top, and it seemed to me that it was the most delicious thing that could be invented for a sandwich. Many years later I saw similar recipes on the Internet and realized that everything had already been invented before us.

Now I remembered this recipe in the context of striving for a balanced and proper diet. It's the perfect protein breakfast or dinner, or a complete afternoon snack, especially if you use yeast-free bread rather than bread. Sometimes I top this snack with vegetables:salad, zucchini fritters, or grilled roasted vegetables, all variations are delicious and hearty. You can try them too!"

Composition:

  • curd – 200g

  • ukrop -  a few sprigs
  • garlic – 2 cloves
  • salt, pepper – to taste
  • sour cream – 1-2 tsp.

Cooking an appetizer of cottage cheese and garlic:

In a bowl, mix cottage cheese with finely chopped dill greens and chopped garlic cloves. Season with salt and pepper. Add a little sour cream and mix until smooth.

Spread the mixture on toast, decorate the top with a slice of tomato or a cucumber, you can put a piece of ham or smoked sausage.
