Salad with beans and croutons
I tried this salad as a guest in Western Ukraine and loved it from the first bite - spicy garlic, crunchy croutons and tender beans. The salad is easy to prepare, but it is not ashamed to put it on the table for guests. Personally, I liked it very much and as soon as I got home, I immediately cooked it. In the original recipe, the salad did not contain eggs, but they seemed appropriate to me here. The salad should be prepared just before serving, otherwise the croutons will soften, which will worsen the flavor of the salad.
Constituents:
- melted cheese - 2 pcs.
- canned beans - 1 can
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- garlic - 3 cloves
- black bread - 3 slices
- mayonnaise - 3-4 tbsp.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- sunflower oil - 2 tbsp.
Preparation of salad with beans and croutons:
You can use canned beans, or you can boil them yourself in salted water until soft, without allowing them to boil.
Cut the bread into 1.5 cm cubes.
Heat a little odorless sunflower oil in a frying pan and dry the bread.
Grate melted cheese on a coarse grater.
Boil the eggs and cut them into cubes.
In a bowl, mix the eggs, beans, melted cheese, and croutons. Press garlic through a garlic press.
Dress the salad with mayonnaise, add salt and pepper if necessary and mix.
Serve immediately.
