Cherries in their own juice
A simple and quick way to preserve cherries for winter. Cherries in their own juice can be used as a filling for various baked goods, including cherry bagels, cake with cherries and mascarpone, dumplings, etc.
Compound:
- cherries - 8 kg
- sugar - 4 kg
Preparation of cherries in their own juice:
Wash the cherries, remove the pips and cover with sugar. Leave the cherries overnight to let them juice.
Then place cherries in sterilized jars and pour the juice. Sterilize liter jars for 10 minutes, then close with lids, turn upside down and cover.
When the jars cool down, transfer them to a cool place for storage.
