Classic Greek salad

This is how this salad is prepared and served in Greece, where it is called «rustic». It is very tasty, fresh and hearty. The flavor of the salad is perfectly balanced, and it can be a stand-alone dish, as well as an addition to other dishes.

Constituents:

  • tomatoes – 2-3 pcs.
  • cucumbers – 2-3 pieces
  • .
  • blue onion - - 1 pc.
  • olives – big handful
  • feta cheese – 250 gr.
  • olive oil and herbs for dressing

Cooking:

Coarsely chop the tomatoes and cucumbers and arrange them on an oblong dish. Slice the onion into half rings and arrange on top of the vegetables. Cut the feta into large pieces and arrange on the salad. Scatter olives on top (Greeks put olives with bones in this salad).
Sprinkle the salad with a mixture of dried oregano and basil, lightly salt and splash with olive oil.
If desired, you can add bell peppers to the salad
