Stuffed peppers
Every hostess prepares stuffed peppers according to her own special recipe. The main thing is to know the right proportions so that there is no extra stuffing or pepper left over. These peppers are delicious and flavorful, and the stuffing is juicy.
Composition:
- bell peppers - 1.5 kg
- stuffing (pork and beef) - 850 gr .
- raw rice - 300 gr.
- onion - 1 pc.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- sour cream - for serving
Cooking:
Mince meat and onion, add washed rice, salt and pepper. Mix the stuffing well.
Pepper peel and fill the peppers with stuffing, not too much filling the peppers, so that during cooking, when the rice in the stuffing swells, the peppers are not damaged.
Put the peppers in a saucepan, pour cold water over them and cook until the peppers are cooked - about 1 hour, refilling water if necessary.
Cook until the peppers are ready.
Check the readiness by tasting the rice, it should be soft.
Serve with sour cream.
If not all the peppers fit in the pot, the remaining stuffed peppers can be frozen and later boiled without defrosting until ready.
