Openwork pancakes on whey
Kefir pancakes are very popular in our family, but if you replace the kefir with whey left over from making homemade cottage cheese, they are just as delicious. The pancakes are thin, holey and sunny.
Composition:
- whey – 2 tbsp.
- flour – 2 tbsp.
- egg – 2 pcs.
- soda – 0,5 tsp.
- plant oil – 2 tbsp.
- salt, sugar to taste
Cooking pancakes on whey:
Combine the flour, eggs, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well.
Pour in the whey and mix the batter until smooth.
Pour baking soda into 1 cup of steep boiling water, stir quickly, and pour into the batter.
Mix the batter and set aside for 5 minutes to let it «rest».
After that, add vegetable oil to the batter and fry the pancakes on a hot griddle until browned on both sides.
Fry the pancakes on a hot frying pan until browned.
Add the oil to the batter.
The hotter the skillet is, the more holes you'll get.
Enjoy!"
