Dumpling dough

The dough in this recipe is very elastic and pleasant to work with. Vareniki and dumplings made with it are delicious and do not stick together when boiled. I highly recommend you try it.

Composition:

  • flour - 3 tbsp
  • egg – 1 pcs.
  • water - 2/3 tbsp.
  • salt - 0,5 - 1 tsp.

Preparing dough for dumplings:

Sift 2.5 tbsp of flour. In a bowl, lightly beat the egg and salt. Add very cold, almost ice water to the egg and mix.
Make a depression in the flour and pour the water and egg mixture into it.

Knead a dense but elastic dough. If necessary, add the rest of the flour.
Roll the dough into a ball. Dust a bowl with flour, place the dough ball in it and cover with clingfilm to prevent the dough from getting weathered. Let the dough stand «rest» 30-40 minutes and use.
If you don't have enough filling, you can make "Caramel Roses" cookies from leftover dumpling dough.
