Rabbit stewed in milk
A delicious rabbit dish with a pleasant creamy and milky flavor. A simple way to prepare dietary and tender rabbit meat.
Composition:
- rabbit - 1 piece .
- large onion - 1 piece .
- vinegar - 2 tbsp.
- milk - 300-400 ml
- salt, pepper - to taste
Cooking rabbit in milk:
Wash the rabbit carcass thoroughly, divide it into pieces, put it in a bowl and pour cold water with 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Leave the meat for 1-2 hours, then take out and dry the pieces.
Fry the rabbit pieces alternately in a frying pan with vegetable oil until browned.
Then fry the onion sliced in half rings in the fat that remains after frying the meat.
Place the fried onions in a thick-walled pot (I use cast iron), place the rabbit pieces on top, salt, pepper, and pour warm milk so it covers all the meat.
Pan cover with a lid and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Cook the rabbit meat for 1.5-2 hours.
Cook the rabbit meat for 1.5-2 hours.
Serve the rabbit hot with mashed potatoes or any other side dish.
