Salmon with cabbage and ginger
Spices and ginger give this diet dish an exotic flavor and a very appetizing aroma. It takes about 30 minutes to prepare - perfect for a quick, easy and healthy dinner. Recipe from "Your Health" magazine.
Composition:
- salmon (or other red fish) - 4 steaks of 150 g each .
- olive oil - 1 tbsp.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 piece
- curry powder - 0,5 tsp.
- French mustard - 2 tbsp.
- fresh ginger, grated on a coarse grater - 2 tsp.
- ground cumin (zira) - 0.5 tsp.
- mixture of white and red cabbage - 400 gr.
Preparation of salmon with cabbage and ginger:
Shred the cabbage finely and grate the carrots. Finely chop the onion.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan, add the onion and fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Meanwhile, grease a baking dish, preferably thick glass, with oil and place the fish steaks on it.Mix the mustard, curry and 2 tbsp of water in a bowl and spread the mixture evenly over the fish.
Bake the fish in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, without turning, for about 15 minutes, until it loses its translucency.
While the steaks are cooking, add the ginger and cumin to the onions and fry, stirring, for 1 minute.

Then add the cabbage and carrots and salt, cover and cook for 11-13 minutes, stirring occasionally.
The cabbage should become soft and take on a slight brown color.
Serve by placing cabbage-ginger mixture on each plate and top with steak.
