Meat with potatoes in pots
A flavorful and delicious dish. Meat and potatoes turn out juicy, soaked in the flavors of each other, and tomato paste makes the dish piquant.
Constituents (for 4-5 pots of 450g):
- meat – 800 gr.
- potatoes – 800 gr.
- carrots – 2-3 pcs.
- onion – 3-4 pcs.
- tomato paste or sauce – 4-5 tbsp.
- vegetable oil for frying
- salt, pepper – to taste
Cooking:
For this recipe it is better to take juicy meat – fillet or neck of pork, chicken, soft veal. Cut the meat into small cubes, with a side of about 2.5-3 cm.
Finely chop the onion, and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
In a skillet on vegetable oil fry onions, add carrots and fry a little. After that put the meat in the skillet and fry a little. Season the meat with pepper, salt, add tomato paste and stew for about 20 minutes.
Cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces of any shape (bars, cubes, large circles) and fry them in vegetable oil until half-cooked, then salt them.
Place potatoes in the bottom of the pots.
Place meat on top.
Cover the pots with lids and place in the oven.
Cook in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Before turning off check readiness – if the meat is soft, remove.
