Pasta with shrimps in cream-cheese sauce
This pasta is very easy and quick to prepare - even a novice cook can cope with it. The sauce is delicate, velvety and very creamy, the shrimp harmonize well with the sauce and complement the flavor of the pasta. The dish is quite hearty, you can't eat a lot, so prepare a portion to eat at once - after reheating the dish is tasty, but still not the same.
Constituents (3-4 servings):
- pasta - 250 gr.
- peeled shrimps - 400 gr.
- garlic 3-4 cloves
- cream 10-15% - 200 ml
- soft melted cream cheese - 100 gr.
- olive oil ~ 100 ml
- oregano, marjoram, dried dill
- salt, pepper - to taste
Preparation of pasta with shrimp in cream-cheese sauce:
In a saucepan boil water, salt add 2 tbsp olive oil. Pour the pasta into the boiling water. You can use any durum wheat pasta, spaghetti, nests, etc. Boil the pasta until cooked, but in no case overcook it.
Discard the cooked pasta in a colander and allow the water to drain.
If using frozen shrimp, defrost them.
Peel the garlic, cut in half and remove the core (it gets bitter when frying).
Heat a little olive oil in a skillet, add the garlic and fry lightly so that it gives off its flavor, then remove it from the pan.
Place the shrimp in a skillet and fry them over high heat, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the shrimp to the skillet.
Pour in the cream, stir to combine. Add salt, pepper, spices, and soft melted cheese.
Add salt, pepper, spices, and soft melted cheese.
Stirring constantly, bring the sauce to a thickened consistency.
It's important not to keep it on the heat too long, as it will get too thick. If it does, thin it with the remaining cream or the water in which the pasta was cooked.
When serving, place the pasta on a plate and top with the cream-cheese sauce and shrimp.
You can sprinkle the finished dish with grated parmesan.
Enjoy!
