Fish stewed with carrots and onions
Juicy, simple and flavorful! Very tasty with mashed potatoes.
Composition:
- fresh fish (any boneless) - 500 gr.
- onion - 2 pcs.
- carrot - 1 pc.
- water - about 200 ml
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp.
- flour
- sunflower oil
- bay leaf - 1-2 pcs.
- salt, pepper - to taste
Preparation of fish stewed with carrots and onions:
Clean fish from scales and insides, cut into pieces, put in a bowl, salt and mix.
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan.
Roll the fish pieces in flour and fry on both sides until browned.
Peel the onion and carrots, chop the onion finely and grate the carrots.
In a pan with thick walls, heat a little sunflower oil and fry the onion in it until light golden color. Then add carrots to the onions and cook until soft.
Dilute the tomato paste in water.
Then put the pieces of fried fish on the pillow of vegetables, pour water, add peppercorns, bay leaf and, if necessary, add salt.
Cover with a lid and braise over low heat until the liquid has evaporated halfway through.
