Satsivi
Satsivi is finger-licking good! A win-win for any occasion. A classic recipe slightly modified.
Insert ingredients:
- chicken - 1 piece .
- salt, pepper
sauce:
- onion - 2-3 pcs.
- manana groats - 2 tbsp.
- walnuts - 2 tbsp.
- chmeli-suneli
- coriander
- saffron
- cloves
- garlic - 2-3 cloves
- vinegar - 1-2 tbsp .
serving:
- greens
- lavash
Cooking satsivi:
Take chicken (you can take thighs), boil it almost to the point of readiness with peas and salt, you can put a whole onion. Save the broth for the sauce. Then bake the chicken in the oven until browned. After it cools down, cut into pieces.
Come to the sauce. Onions (2-3 pieces, you can have more) finely chopped, sauteed in sunflower oil. Chop walnuts (2 cups or more) in a blender. Boil semolina porridge from 2 tbsp. semolina and 1 liter of broth. Add onion, nuts, boil for 2-3 minutes. At the end of cooking add 1 tsp. each of hopeli-suneli and coriander, 2 tsp. saffron, cinnamon and cloves on the tip of a knife, crushed garlic (2-3 teeth), salt to taste. After turning off, add 1-2 tbsp of vinegar.
Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces. Serve already cooled and infused, with pita bread and greens.
Serve with the sauce.
