Beet stew
It seems very simple - onions and beets, but in fact it turns out to be a very tasty vegetable side dish, and delicious both hot and cold. In Lent or the winter season, prepare this vitamin and colorful dish!
Constituents:
- onion - 1 pc.
- beet - 2 pcs.
- sunflower oil - 2-3 tbsp.
- salt, pepper
- sugar - to taste
- balsamic vinegar (optional)
Preparation of stewed beets:
Wash the beets thoroughly and cook . You can boil the beets in water until ready, but it will be tastier if you wrap them in foil and bake them in an oven heated to 200 degrees Celsius - about 1.5-2 hours.
Then chop the onion finely.
Heat sunflower oil in a skillet and fry the onion until lightly browned.
Peel the beets, grate them coarsely and add them to the onions.
Stew the beets for about 5 minutes, salt and pepper to taste, you can add a little sugar and balsamic vinegar for more spice.
