Burma
Burma, a Crimean Tatar dish, is a filling wrapped in a layer of dough and cooked in an oven or steamer. There are different variants of fillings: with meat, pumpkin, potatoes, brynza and cheese. A tasty and hearty dish.
Composition:
batter:
- flour - 400 gr.
- water - 1 tbsp.
- egg - 1 pcs.
- salt - a pinch
stuffing:
- meat - 500 gr.
- onion - 2 pcs.
- medium sized potatoes - 2 pcs.
- butter - 100 gr.
- salt, pepper - to taste .
Cooking burma:
First prepare the dough. For this purpose, rub sifted flour with egg.
For this purpose, knead it with egg.
Add the salt, pour in the water and knead into a soft elastic dough, adding more flour if necessary.
Roll the dough into a ball, cover with a towel and leave for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing. For this, chop the meat: beef or lamb (but you can also use poultry) finely.
Add the finely chopped onion and potatoes.
Mix the filling, salt and pepper.
Divide the dough into two pieces and roll into a thin layer. Spread half of the stuffing evenly on top and roll up, pinching the edges slightly.
Add the filling to the roll.
Do the same with the second part of the dough and stuffing.
Put the rolls in a greased with sunflower oil steamer mold and cook for 45-50 minutes.

Cut the finished rolls into bite-sized pieces, drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with finely chopped herbs. You can also serve burma with sour cream, vinegar, etc.
