Roast with meat and mushrooms
I would call this roast a man's dish - for its simplicity of preparation and satiety. Everything is very easy, only in the traditional recipe mushrooms are added. In the lean version you can exclude meat, it will still be a hearty dish.
Composition:
- meat - 300 gr.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- mushrooms - 1 handful
- potatoes - 4-5 pcs.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- sunflower oil for frying
Preparation of roast with meat and mushrooms:
Clean the vegetables, finely chop the onion, chop the mushrooms into plates, grate the carrots, and cut the potatoes into large cubes.
Cut the meat into pieces with a side of about 3 cm.
Heat sunflower oil in a thick-walled saucepan and fry the meat until lightly browned.
Then add the onions and cook for about 3 minutes.
Then place the carrots in the pot, stir and cook for another 5 minutes.
After that, place the mushrooms and potatoes in the pot, stir, salt and pepper.
Add the mushrooms and potatoes to the pot.
If the meat and vegetables have released little liquid, add a few tablespoons of water and braise over low heat under a lid until cooked through - about 30-40 minutes.
At the end of cooking you can add finely chopped parsley or dill greens.
Bon appetit!
