Rice and oat milk porridge with prunes
Every mom knows how difficult it can be to feed her baby: the porridge is thick, or liquid, or too white, or vice versa. But cereals are useful and necessary in a complete diet of the child. Dried fruits, too, children do not always willingly eat. I tried to combine these components in one dish and it turned out delicious and nutritious. In addition, some mothers are afraid to give rice to children, so that he did not "crepil" and the addition of prunes wonderfully "balances" this problem. I used rice and oat flakes, but you can use regular cereals, just cook a little longer to cook them. I hope your picky eaters like it!
Composition:
- milk - 300 ml
- water - 100 ml
- rice flakes (I have "Nordic") - 1/4 tbsp
- oat flakes ("Nordic") - 1/2 tbsp.
- cream butter - 60 gr.
- blackberries - 8 pcs.
- sugar - 2 tbsp.
Cooking rice and oat milk porridge with prunes:
Pour water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Then pour in the milk and bring to a boil again. Be careful not to let the milk run off.
Then pour in the cereal, turn the heat down to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. If you are not using cereal, but, for example, just rice, then cook longer, until the rice is ready.
Meanwhile, wash prunes, pour boiling water over them and leave them for 5 minutes, then drain the water and chop them finely.
Arrange the porridge on plates, add a piece of butter, prunes and sugar and serve.
Enjoy!
