String beans stewed with tomatoes
A light vegetable side dish.
Composition:
- string beans - 200 gr.
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 onion
- corn oil (sunflower oil will also work) .
- 1 tbsp. butter
- salt
- ground black pepper
- paprika
- parsley
Cooking method:
Wash the beans, cut off the tails, cut into 5 cm long pieces (you can leave them out - it's a matter of taste). Boil the beans in salted water for 5-10 minutes, drain in a colander.
In the meantime, fry finely chopped onion in sunflower oil, add boiled green beans, fry a little and add finely chopped tomatoes. Stew until cooked through - I got about 20 mins. Then add butter, paprika, salt, pepper and finely chopped parsley. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Bon appetit!
